I think the most important issue raised in the text is about being a truthful photographer. You need to look at your photos before you publish them and consider all of the facts about it. If you have doubts or any guilt, they shouldn't be published. You need to be able to tell the truth without exploiting anyone or manipulating anything.
This example doesn't have an extreme amount of editing but it still makes a difference. The image on the right looks worse then the image on the left making the situation seem a lot bigger then it may have been.
